Maintenance Recommendation:

Your mailbox is built for outdoor use, but sun, rain, snow, and road salt take a toll on any finish over time. To keep it looking its best, we recommend applying a clear coat once per year.

A light coat of exterior-grade clear sealant adds an extra layer of protection against moisture, UV fading, and surface rust. Before applying, wipe the mailbox down with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry completely. Apply in thin, even coats on a dry day with temperatures above 50°F, and allow it to cure fully before use.

Between coatings, a quick rinse and wipe-down every few months will keep dirt and salt from building up. Regular upkeep is the best way to protect your mailbox's appearance over time.

This is our 3rd bass mailbox. The previous 2 have easily lasted over 5-7 years. We bought a new one last year and the finish did not even last 1 year after installation. I was told by this company that there was a new process on it and it would last longer than the previous versions. I guess not. It is an awesome mailbox and gets a lot of attention, but not worth the money anymore.
